Anyone who has ever been to Walt Disney World can tell you that if you leave feeling hungry, you’ve done something wrong. Disney World has some of the most amazing dining options you can find anywhere. Sure you can find burgers and turkey legs, staples of theme park dining. But there are many more choices to satisfy even the most critical palates, including several fine dining options. As if a trip to Walt Disney World isn’t magical enough, what if you could go and eat for free?
One of the biggest decisions you’ll make when planning a Disney World vacation is whether to eat a good breakfast before going to the parks or going straight to the parks to be the first in line for some of your favorite attractions. Now you can choose both if you take advantage of "Disney Early Morning Magic". On select mornings from 7:45-10:00am, a very limited number of guests will be the first to enter the Magic Kingdom and Fantasyland.
The Diamond Horseshoe in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom was an opening day dining location, as the east-coast equivalent of Disneyland’s Golden Horseshoe. But it has been only open rarely in the past dozen or so years. It has been used occasionally as overflow for Liberty Tree Tavern (which it shares a kitchen with) or as quick service, but many times we’ve walked by, it has been closed. That changes on March 13th!
The Jungle Navigation Company’s Skipper Canteen opened in late December, blending a unique dining experience with the fun (and corny jokes) of the Jungle Cruise. Unlike other table service restaurants in Disney World, however, Skipper Canteen has not been taking reservations and instead taking walk up guests as patrons. That changes tomorrow… Starting tomorrow and scheduled to last until February 27th, guests wishing to enjoy the adventurous cuisine of the Skipper Canteen can make same-day reservations by visiting http://jungleskippercanteen.
