Although it was hit by nearly a year of delays, Disney has announced that Rivers of Light will officially debut on February 17th.
Rivers of Light is a new nighttime entertainment offering that will take place on the Discovery River in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Including water screen projections, animal-shaped lanterns, inspiring music, and (of course) light, Rivers of Light weaves a story of nature in a timeless celebration of water and light.
According to the Disney World website, Rivers of Light will have one performance every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 7:15pm through March 11th. The show time moves to 8:45pm starting March 12th up through April 8th. After April 9th, the show runs every night of the week and there are several nights when there are two shows. FastPass+ and Dining Packages are also available for Rivers of Light. Dining packages are available for either Tusker House or Tiffins. The dining package for breakfast at Tusker House is $39 for adults and $23 for children ages 3 to 9. Lunch and dinner are $52 for adults, $32 for children. Tiffens has lunch and dinner dining packages for Rivers of Light starting at $67 for adults, $26 for children ages 3 to 9.
Whether you take advantage of the dining packages or not, Rivers of Light is sure to be a visual and auditory feast and will give a boost to the nighttime experience at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
